The ALBA party is just two weeks old yet, remarkably, it has received an endorsement from a thirteenth century figure and one of the greatest Scottish heroes: Robert the Bruce.
Or has it? The late king has not risen from the dead, nor was he gifted with extraordinary foresight – rather, the brand new backing comes from Scottish actor, Angus Macfadyen, who played Robert the Bruce in Braveheart.
Macfadyen has produced and narrated a rather chilling short video, released today by the ALBA party, where he has once again assumed the role of the hero king. Recyling a popular line from Braveheart, he promises his audience that ALBA will “unite the clans.”
