If Jeremy Corbyn becomes Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, as looks increasingly likely, one of the institutions primarily responsible will be the Conservative Party.
Watching those words flicker up on my laptop screen gives me precisely no pleasure. I first campaigned for the Tory party aged 16, back in the half forgotten era of WebCameron and ‘Vote Blue, Go Green’. I believed it was the ultimate guardian of free market economics, the rule of law and the British Union. By accident rather than design, I fear it now risks undermining all three.
