The first patient in Britain to die after catching Omicron was an unvaccinated pensioner, according to his stepson.
He told LBC radio that his male relative was convinced that the vaccine was a state-wide conspiracy. The 71-year-old is reported to have died on Monday in a Northampton hospital after falling ill with Covid-19 at the beginning of December.
