One month has passed since the government ended all remaining lockdown restrictions in England – known as “Freedom Day”.The ending of legal limits on social distancing, as well as the return of large-scale events, on 19 July was met with fierce condemnation from leading scientists who called the decision dangerous and unethical.
It’s worth remembering what some of the doomsayers’ said, and considering whether the “Freedom Day” experiment has paid off, so far.
