As Bloodlands concludes on Sunday, ITV offers up its own detective drama. Based on the novel Dead Simple by Peter James, the plot tells the plight of Detective Superintendent Roy Grace (played by John Simm) as he investigates the disappearance of his wife. Simm’s plays a character written as a rule-breaking, risk-taking stubborn copper, who uses frowned upon methods to uncover the truth.
The Lost Pirate Kingdom

With this new docu-series, it’s the pirate’s life for Netflix. These eight episodes will tell the ‘real’ story of the pirates of the Carribean, combined with a number of reenactment scenes starring James Oliver Wheatley, Sam Callis and Thomas Padley. Reputable pirate content has been in short supply since Starz Black Sails, The Lost Pirate Kingdom hopes to change that.
