Reaction event: tickets for Michael Gove and Stewart Wood on Britain beyond Brexit
Tired of the endless election campaign media ding-dong in which politician Y says that politician X is terrible? Zzzzzzzz. Want something more thought-provoking on the future of the country?
With that in mind, Reaction is putting on an election event with a difference on May 30th in central London. I’m hosting two leading thinkers, one from the Tory side and one from the Labour side to debate and discuss life beyond Brexit.
You can buy tickets here, which are discounted for Reaction members (who have been sent a voucher code.)
We will discuss and debate the trends and developments that will shape our economy and society. We’ll look at technology and AI, the evolving nature of work, public service improvement, economic reform and the ethical dimension. How should politicians respond?
Michael Gove was a famously reforming education secretary and one of the key figures on the Brexit side during the referendum. He is a columnist for The Times and the Conservative candidate in Surrey Heath.
Stewart Wood, Lord Wood of Anfield, is an academic and former Labour adviser who worked for Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband. He is one of the most perceptive thinkers on the left of British politics.
I hope you can join us for what promises to be a fascinating evening.
