The Scottish Parliament term ended in a paroxysm of spin: from votes of no confidence and a Holyrood inquiry, to party defections and resignations. Those toxic tempers don’t seem to have waded, as Scotland’s leading politicians clashed in last night’s BBC Scotland Debate, the first of the election campaign. 
In a scene resembling Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, the leaders of Scotland’s main political parties name-called and bickered for over an hour in the hope of sealing the May’s jackpot.
