No, Number 10 isn’t going to publish a list of those who have so far avoided being fined for partying in Downing Street. But there have now been so many FPN fines imposed that it would be easier to list those who have yet to trouble the scorer, in sporting parlance.
Numerous gatherings were held in Downing Street during the Covid restrictions. We now know some of the gatherings resembled those raucous parties traditionally held on the key Tuesday night of Tory party annual conference, where someone finds the final magnum of Pol Roger before in desperation moving onto Bacardi Breezers.
Today, the Met announced around another 50 fines have been issued, making Downing Street the most fined place in Britain during Covid. The running total is 100 fines. The Prime Minister is 100 not out, yet, an achievement of sorts.
