Donald Trump has a problem and the problem, for once, isn’t Donald Trump.
Another week has slipped by and much of the coverage of the US election is highlighting the growing frustrations of the former President over his inability to land a punch on Kamala Harris. For the first time in his relatively short political career, Trump faces a candidate immune to his name-calling.
That can sound trivial however it’s phrased, but the simple truth is that much of Trump’s success lay in his ability to destroy a person with a simple nickname. Suddenly, that’s not working for Trump, as people discover that they quite like Kamala Harris and her running mate, the Minnesota governor, Tim Walz.
Who knew that personality is a non-trivial factor deciding any election?
