Reaction’s Tim Montgomerie talks to former Tory Cabinet minister Rory Stewart about the Taliban’s bloody advance across Afghanistan and the West’s wider failure to honour commitments it makes to nations and peoples that could easily become allies of Moscow or Beijing if they conclude that London, Washington and Brussels are no longer reliable economic, military or strategic partners.
