“Snowflake,” “woke,” “millennial” are just a few of the many labels hurled towards young people today. The latter labels don’t bother me much, partly because “millennial” is just stating a fact, and “wokeness” is bandied about as an insult by people who don’t even know what the term means.

“Snowflake,” however, gets under my skin. The term implies that a group of feeble, whiny, over-sensitive individuals cannot handle the slightest hardship thrown in their direction. It particularly bothers me now, after what young people have had to put up with in the past year and how little they have complained.
