A cynic might claim that the fashion for remakes of Hollywood classics has gone too far, with the roles of Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon in The Odd Couple being reprised by Donald Trump and Joe Biden. It seems strange that the oldest democracy and most advanced society on earth, out of a population of 331 million, is confronted with a choice between these two men to preside over its destinies for the next four years and assume the leadership of the Free World.
Donald Trump’s idiosyncrasies are too well known to require elaboration. Yet the reason he appears to be facing defeat, according to the majority of opinion polls, is unconnected with the
