Call the Midwife

BBC One, Sunday 18 April at 8pm

Call the Midwife returns for its long-awaited tenth series. The new seven episodes kick off with Sister Julienne and Dr Turner having mixed opinions over whether to provide a private care service and fears of another Thalidomide case. The series is set in 1966, and the audience can expect writers to toy with some of the historical events of the time, such as the Aberfan disaster, the March snap election and the trouble in Rhodesia.
