They discussed Robert’s new book out this week – This Sovereign Isle: Britain In and Out of Europe. It examines Brexit in the context of British and European history. In the interview, Robert shared his thoughts on why Britain was less committed to the European project and what prompted Brexit. They also spoke about the possibility of Scottish independence post-Brexit and reflected on how Brexit will impact the relationship between ‘the quarrelling siblings’: Britain and France.
