In a neat twist on Vote Leave’s mantra, Starmer proposed a “Take Back Control Bill” in his New Year speech today.
During the Labour leader’s address, he pledged to “take back control”. According to the bookies, he is well on his way to doing so.
There was a feeling of licensed hubris about the Labour leader’s speech and his response to the fiscal earthquake was infantile. The only interesting segment was his attack on the SNP.
