“Putin wrestled to the ground by Mongolians dressed as Genghis Khan’s guards”. Well, it’s a better headline than the one used this week by media outlets: “Putin not arrested in Mongolia”.

He was in Mongolia, and there was a group wearing the red and blue uniforms of the personal guard of the 13th century founder of the Mongol Empire. Sadly, they just watched him get off the plane and then walk along a red carpet with the Mongolian President, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa.

I’ve identified the moment the guard could have executed the arrest warrant demanded by the International Criminal Court against Putin. He’s walking up some red, carpeted stairs and, at the top, bows to a statue of Genghis.
